Brady's Mess

The other night Brady wanted to watch TV in our bedroom, he didn't want to watch what Brett was watching down in the living room. We told him it was ok, but had to behave, HA! Bryan and I went in the basement to work a puzzle seeing that the boys were quiet. We figured Brady was watching TV nice, little did we know what surprise we had awaiting us up there. I have been using a ton of lotion lately because it's been so cold and dry here. Brady likes to use my lotion too when I put it on, he usually asks to have some, which I give him. Well it was bed time for the Richmond Family, and Bryan said," What is all over our mirror." I was like great, couldn't figure out what it would be, as I wasn't up there yet. I took a look at the mirror and thought , what the heck is that. I walked into the bathroom and noticed my lotion bottle empty, thankfully it was nearly empty. Here my little darling opened the lotion trying to squirt some out, he had a hard time it got all over the bed frame, the wall, the dresser, and the rug. He must have gotten too much on his hands and for some reason smeared it on the mirror, unless it squirted on there too. He did try to clean the mirror though, I noticed a ton of butt wipes in our trash can. I give him credit for that. I couldn't get too mad at him, because as I was cleaning the wall up, I had flashbacks to when I was about his age. I in my wild youth, got a hold of some lipstick and drew on the walls with that, and another time I took some perfume and sprayed it on my sister's bedroom walls. I am not talking about smalls sprays, they were huge puddles, with drip marks coming down from the sprays. I can still to this day picture the walls. Needless to say, the room smelt horrible and I got yelled at big time for each of my misdeeds. So while I cleaned that up, I kept thinking that my little sweetheart sure does take after his Mamma!

My Disappointment

Well what can I say about our Green Bay Packers? They made some great achievements this year. They did better than any one could have predicted. I was happy for them to win the NFC North Division Title, that was so cool. I was also happy that Brett Favre borke a lot of records too this year. However, it was a big disappointment for this Packer fan to watch them play at home and loose. The play calling stunk, the weather, crappy(cold). I was pumped at the beginning of the game to slowly loose the wind in my sails as the game went on. I had some glimmers of hope throughout the game, as NY missed a few field goals. I yelled so loud I hurt my throat. It was still fun to watch I guess. Although I am thankful they made it as far as they did this year. No matter what type of season the Pack have, I will always be a Packer fan!

mini update

Wow, can't believe half of January is over! The time has gone by way too fast. Bryan went to San Antonio for his eye surgery. He left on the 5th of Januray. All turned out well with his surgery, he is seeing 20/25, it's a big improvement over what he saw without glasses. He came home on the 15th. The boys and I ventured out into the city to pick him up at the airport. It was my first time driving in the city. I had never drove to the airport before, but after one minor flubb, we got there in plenty of time to meet the plane. The boys were very excited to see Dad after 10 days. Brett screamed as usual and gave him a hug and Brady was bashful. We almost missed each other though, we were on one end of the airport expecting Bryan to come down the one set of steps, but he came down a different set. Good thing I sent Brett to look around the bend, and that's when he saw Bryan.

Today we woke up to find about 4 inches of snow on the ground. We had a heavy snow warning issued some time after we went to bed. The heaviest of the snow fell in Fairbanks. They got up to 8 inches by 4:00 a.m.. They were calling for 8-10 inches. So glad we got the least amount. I am truly getting tired of snow.

Last But Not Least: Happy New Year!!!!

What can I say about my boys!!! They are unique to say the least. One would think they had been drinking in this picture while celebrating the New Year to come. I can honestly say they didn't have anything but milk and water to drink. Once in a while they tend to ham it up for the camera. They are truly special little people, who take after their father. He would say they take after me, so it's up to you to decide who they take after. Happy 2008!!!! Hope it's a great year for all and a healthy, and happy one too.

The Other Frozen Peanut

Here is one of Brett playing in the snow. He was playing wiht friends but one started getting frostbite on the face and went in. Brett has no sense when it comes to coming in the house, he would live out in the snow if he could. He will stay out there and be freezing and not care. When you ask him to help shovel he says it is too cold outside!

Frozen Little Peanut

The boys were finally able to play out in the snow, the temps were in the single digits and rather pleasant. We let the boys go out and play, they had fun. Brady started to get cold and had the sense to come in the house. Before I let him in I got a picture of him all covered in snow. He headed off for a bath shortly after to warm up.

Snowy View

Here is pretty view of the woods through our back yard. The trees look so beautiful with the freshly fallen snow.

Brett Posing

Here is a solo of Brett posing by the tree. He seems to be like a modle with some of the poses he does lately. He is changing all the time with his likes and dislikes. Can't believe he will be 8 in Sept. The time has flew by so fast.

Brady and His Friend

Brady has a thing for Patrick from SpongeBob.He simply loves anything to do with starfish. He has a giant Patrick pillow that he used to carry around until I made him keep it in the basement. He kept knocking things over carrying him around the house. He really loved his new Patrick from Auntie Sue.

Brady's Turn

Here is one of Brady opening his gifts. He was thrilled with all the SpongeBob Lego's that Santa brought him. Bryan had a fun time building them all. Brett got a bunch of Star Wars Lego's too. It only took Bryan about 2 days to build them all with taking breaks between the chore.

Opening Gifts

Here is one of the boys, Brett I think opening one of his gifts. We actually had a small Christmas for a change this year. Next year will be even smaller if Bryan is deployed. Wish I could figure out how to add more than one picture to the posts. Will have to check that out some time.

Christmas Night

Here is a picture of the boys Christmas Night after dinner. They had a full day of playing with their new toys and ready for bed, they got up by 5:30, well Brett did any way. He was very excited about Santa coming.

Christmas Conert

Brett's Christmas Concert was in the beginning of Dec. The kids did a great job. Brett is standing on the top left corner of the picture, he is wearing a white shirt. He was a little nervous though, he kept playing wiht his sleeves. I will have to remember that for next year and put a short sleeve shirt on him so he doesn't fidget with the sleeves. He sruprised us by actually singing along with everyone. Normally he just looks off into space. The kids had a good time playing pots and pans. They didn't do traditional Christmas songs, which none of could understand, but the kids gave it there all and did a great job. Will post some Christmas and New Years pictures ahen I get them loaded on the computer.

Brady at his Best

One night at the beginning of the month Bryan could some one sighing while he was doing his homework. He didn't think anything of it at the time, he thought it was just one of the boys doing that in their sleep. He got done with homework and came upstairs and lo and behold, there was Brady fast asleep on the landing upstairs. He was inches away from the top step. he brought his blankie for a pillow and that was all she wrote. Bryan picked him up and put him back to bed without waking Brady up. I asked Brady the next morning what was up with sleeping on the landing. He said he was afraid of the wind, it had been real windy that night, and he got scared, and decided to crash there. He was lucky he didn't fall down the steps. It was so cute to see him laying there. He is sure a funny little boy.

Goof Ball

One day before Brady took his nap, he decided to put his pull ups over his head. He still wears them at nap and bed time. We are slowly getting him night time trained, not in a big hurry for that. He sure is a special child.
