Brady Playing

Brady was playing with all his little match box trucks, buses and whatever else was in there. He yelled at me for taking some out of the Ziploc bag. He said,"Why did you do that, it took me so long to collect them and you messed them all up for me.""I worked hard on that, you know!" Well, I guess he told me.

Super Bowl Cake

Brady and I went grocery shopping after work yesterday, and found this super bowl cake. It was the only one that had white frosting, so I knew Brett would eat it too. He is just too darn picky. We are having a small party with the 3 of us, and the boys want to get decked out in their jersey's too. We are having sandwiches and alot of snacks, not to mention cake for dessert. Pop, we wish you could be here with us. Go Cardinals!!!!

Snow, Snow, Go Away!

I am so tired of winter! I know that snow is a big part of living up here, but i can complain about it if I want. We have had to shovel like 5 times in a week. You can't really tell how big the snowpile is on the side of the driveway from this angle, but I was too lazy to get redressed and go out and take a better picture. i always forget to take it out with me when I start shoveling.I can't wait for Spring!!!! We are definelty going someplace warmer after we leave here, I am done with winter.

Scarf

Yesterday Brett borught home this scarf that he made in school. He strung beads on the ends of it. It turned out pretty nice. I thought that he brought some girls scarf home when I was taking his stuff out of his backpack.Brady naturally had to get in on the action of wearing the scarf too. He was using it first though as the brushes in the car wash that we go to down town.

Hair Cuts

I went to the Bx to get a calling card for Bryan to use while he is gone, and decided to get the boys hair cuts. They needed them pretty bad, Brett's hair looked yucky. It was getting way too long for him. The guy that they like to go to wasn't working today, so we had some else do the cuts. they are more of the high and tight, which I was never really too keen on, but thought why not try it today. I thought they looked so nice after getting their new stylish dos. Brady would tend to keep his bangs longer, but I think I kind of like him this way better. even if they don't like them their hair grows so fast it will be another two weeks and their hair will beed to be cut again, it gorws that fast!

Such Sad Faces??/

We took Bryan to the airport on Saturday. The boys were sad to see him go, he had to go to Hawaii for 3 weeks for an Air Force Trainers class, that he needs for his job. Brett did a good job of putting on a sad face for the camera but Brady just couldn't get the emotion to come across for the camera. He isn't as good an actor as Brett. I wish we could have gone to Hawaii too to enjoy some of the nice arm temps., and to play on the beach, maybe one day!

Gamers

The boys each got DS's for Christmas, they play them just about every day. It is one of the rare moments of them where they are actually getting along and not fighting.

Our New Year's Visitors

We were sitting in the house on New Year's just before supper time and I happened to notice something moving around outside in our front yard. I was wondering who was crazy enough to let their kids play out in the negative 40 + degree temps. Then I looked again and it was 3 moose. We all looked out the windows, like we never saw moose before. Bryan got the camera and took a couple of picitures that actually turned out for a change. We will miss the moose when we leave here.

Brady's Room

Brady got some SpongeBob decorations for his room from Santa. He got 2 tabletop lamps and an alarm clock from his Auntie Sue, which by the way is very loud when the alarm goes off. The night I set his room up I put batteries in the clock and set it, and didn't think to check if the alarm was on or off. So at around 1:45 you could haear plain as day in our room, the theme song to SpongeBob Squarepants as sang by Mister Krabs. I woke up and was wondering why the boys were up at that hour watching SpongeBob so loud. Then it kind of dawned on me very slowly that it was the clock. I was like well, I sure hope it didn't wake them up, I was still half out of it with that thought. I was secretly hoping Bryan would have gotten up to turn it off, and I think he was waiting for me to get up and do it. I finally got up and the boys were coming towards the room telling me the clock was going off, as if I couldn't hear the noise it was making. So I turned it off and we all fell back to sleep. It was one of the many goofy things that went on over Xmas. It ranked right up there with me dropping the Christmas ham on floor while I was taking it out the pan to put on a plate to carve it up. We laughed so hard, it just made a big loud thud and bounced once. It reminded us of the Everybody Loves Raymond Episode when Debra drops the turkey on the floor and then finally gets it in the oven. The boys thought it was funny too, they keep bringing it up all the time.
