Nature Trail

The base has a Nature Trail, that is about 2 miles, it winds through the woods. It is really pretty with all the different types of flowers and the pine trees, not to mention the few streams and swampy areas. It is a nice walk, very peaceful and usually uneventful. While we walked on it we came across the mamma moose and her baby. Go figure we were just about done with the trail when we came upon them. Needless to say we turned around and went a different way. We weren't in the mood to fight off a moose attack. She spotted us right away and was staring us down. We were prepared to see one, because we same them a week before hanging out in that area.
