4th of July

Here are our July 4th festivities. We got some fireworks from a stand out on the highway.We had to find a safe place to light them off, seeing that 100 5 of the land is forest. We went to a transfer site for trash in the town of Salcha, about 5 miles or so from base. We had to be on the look out for bear though, because they tend to frequent that area at times. We were lucky though and didn't see any. We had a fun time lighting off the fireworks, but it's still not the same as doing it in the dark. Oh well we made the best of it and had fun any way, that's what counts.
